Submissions for the 2019 APA Scholarship Program will be accepted September 2018 through March 2019 for the upcoming 2019 school year.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

1. A qualified family member of an APA shareholder/member employee, or shareholder/co-op member employee in the United States and Canada

2. Students graduating from high school

3. Students who are already attending any 2 or 4 year accredited college or university, any ASE/NATEF certified post-secondary
   automotive/heavy duty/collision technician training program or any licensed and accredited vocational school

4. Student DOES NOT have to attend an industry related school or pursue an industry related field

5. ALL application submissions must be completed in English

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED, APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

1. Visit AutomotiveScholarships.com and click on “APA” from the list on the right side of the page
   (Canadian applicants click HERE for instructions)

2. Print and complete all fields on the APA Scholarship Registration page and follow the Mail/Fax or Email
   instructions to notify APA of your Scholarship application submission

3. Then click on the “Apply Online” button at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions

4. You will be required to submit the following materials along with your registration:

   1. A one-page essay about your career goals or a short video on YouTube

   2. One letter of reference (must be a non-family member)

   3. a copy of your high school transcripts or GED and any post-secondary education transcripts if you have already begun taking classes

5. Please note that each student’s completed application will be considered by every organization where they meet that group’s qualifications

THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS:
MARCH 31, 2019

The process begins once the applicant has registered AND notified APA of their application, all applicant packets will be forwarded to APA for review for final selection upon closure of the registration period ending March 31, 2109.

The review committee for applicants will consist of the APA HQ staff.  This committee will review all applications using the Automotive Aftermarket Scholarships Central’s selection software to build a ranking report with reviewer’s ratings that will be used as a guideline to choose the winners.  Once the winners are chosen, they will be notified and APA will confirm the winner’s enrollment in their selected school and award the $1,000 directly to the school toward their tuition.  Results will be communicated to APA Shareholders by email and announced publicly via media releases and social media.
