APA Ambassador Robert Duxler began his career in the automotive aftermarket industry at the age of 19 and by 28 he acquired Robeth Co., (dba Automotive Inventory Management Systems), and after a long and rewarding career Duxler retired in 2015. During his 54 years of company ownership as a full-line warehouse distributor that included tires and equipment, Duxler focused on a proactive approach of “continuing education” and adopting nascent technologies as essential components in building a profitable business, which he has continued through retirement.

By utilizing various techniques Duxler analyzed market trends to identify growth opportunities, and as a result was on the cutting edge of the two-step distribution warehouse process, established overnight deliveries to grow sales territories and embraced e-commerce as a revenue source before his competitors. Despite his business successes, Duxler truly believes that his greatest reward is the ability to give back to the industry that served him.

Loyal to the trade, Duxler began giving back by supporting APA shareholders by serving on the Membership, Technology, Executive Search and Mergers & Acquisitions committees before serving as APA Vice Chairman from 2010-2012 and Chairman from 2012-2014. Now, Duxler is proud to continue his service to APA shareholders and the industry as the first APA Ambassador.
